Below is a brief round up of electric vehicle stories that are currently effecting the energy sector.

Thanks to the UK’s revolutionary Transport decarbonisation plan, the government has announced its intention to phase out the sale of new diesel HGV’s by 2040. This will lead to cleaner air, healthier communities and tens of thousands of jobs. Read more.

According to an article written by Edie, the government have confirmed its decision to bring the ban of petrol and diesel cars and vans forward from 2035 to 2030. They have also pledged to move 25% of its car fleet to ultra low emissions by 2022 as its interim step. Click here to read more.
