When did you join the company and at what position?

I joined the company in May 2016 as an apprentice on the Electricity MPI team

How has Utiligroup helped you in your career?

I joined the company at 16 as an apprentice with no real goal or direction in life and no understanding of business operations. Initially it took me some time to find my feet but once I did I could see the growth in myself. I amplified my knowledge of the industry and the business and managed to create some solid bonds with my co-workers. Utiligroup provided the foundations and the opportunities for me to build a successful career, I have grown from apprentice to data coordinator and finally onto the Gas MPI team. They have also helped my personal progression as I am now more mature, confident and ambitious.

What is on your wish list for the next ten years in the company?

Within the next ten years I want to continue learning from my experiences and meeting new people. I am really enjoying the work I do at Utiligroup and I aspire to maintain my positive attitude and enjoy the here and now. Ultimately the goal is to live a happy life.

What do you love most about Utiligroup?

The people at Utiligroup make it an amazing place to work. During my time here I have had the opportunity to work across two different teams and experience the variety of personalities that exist here. It is always motivating to know that during the day you will be able to share a nice conversation or a laugh with colleagues.

If you could share any advice for prospective candidates what would it be?

The average person spends over 90,000 hours in work in a lifetime. Why not work in a company where you can develop yourself, achieve great things, work with amazing colleagues and be truly valued as a team player.
