ESG welcomes global work towards COP26

The UK will host the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow on 1 – 12 November 2021. The COP26 summit will bring parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

The Powering Past Coal Alliance (PPCA) is a coalition of national and sub-national governments, businesses and organisations working to advance the transition from unabated coal power generation to clean energy. The PPCA is at the forefront of the global effort to deliver the Paris Agreement.

The Energy Transition Council is a key taskforce in COP26 and is making significant movements toward reducing global emissions. The COP26 Energy Transition Council will bring together leaders of the global power sector, to accelerate the transition from coal to clean power.

The Climate Group EV100 is a global initiative bringing together forward looking companies committed to accelerating the transition to electric vehicles. EV100 members are sending a powerful demand signal to vehicle manufacturers and governments to accelerate the market scale up worldwide.

All these groups are working together for our planet and at ESG we empower those delivering the energy transition as we make a shared contribution to our future.
