Role Summary

We are an innovative and market leading software & services company based in Chorley serving clients in the utility sector ranging from new entrants to large existing suppliers. We deliver sophisticated software solutions and managed services in a Private Cloud infrastructure, servicing both traditional and modern real-time, smart energy clients.

A training course applicable to the role will be agreed. You will be allowed 1 day per week for the duration of the course to either; attend college during term time or to use the time working from the office for college studies.

Role Responsibilities

Working within the Professional Services Project Management team in a variety of support roles, including:

  • Assisting the Project Team in controlling and monitoring timelines, resource allocation, budgets, project costs and quality of deliverables, organising meetings, minute taking, timesheet tracking, invoicing
  • Providing quality control checks on documentation, financial reporting and business reporting by the project team.
  • Assist in collating and generating Programme high-level dashboard / KPI’s, collation of programme level status packs, supporting programme documentation librarian, assisting in controlling and monitoring programme costs, programme timelines and programme level RAID’s log;
  • Collation of and assistance with weekly status reports and generating monthly reports
  • Any other general administration duties you may be reasonably requested to perform in support of the business

To Manage:-

  • Initiation and organisation of a project;
  • Maintenance and updating of project documentation as requested
  • Assist in the communication process to stakeholders
  • Task management across all projects
  • Maintain and update process documentation
  • Ad hoc support activities for Project Management team
  • Working with the Project team and Portfolio Office to support developing process improvements between the project management team and other Operational Areas

  • Importance of maintaining project documentation

  • Monitoring and maintaining programme and portfolio level reports

Qualifications, Attributes & Experience

You should be enrolled on an apprenticeship course that is applicable to the role described above. This could be in relation to Business Administration, Project Support, Project Management or similar.
