The Grid isn’t ready for for the Renewable Revolution

As we prepare to speak at EMC on 7th October, this article by Wired describes the transformation needed in order for us to be prepare for the renewable revolution. Matt Simon, a science journalist at Wired, says an ideal world would be a creation of a single national grid so when the afternoon sun generates power in the Southwest any excess energy can be sent to the East Coast in time for peak demand, whilst also drawing wind power from the Midwest.
