UK: The cost of net zero?

Reaching net zero will require major changes in two main areas: transport and buildings. Shifts in these areas will create winners and losers and this will be further reviewed as to where the costs will fall in a report set to publish later this year. Along with a financial barrier there will also be an attitudinal barrier among consumers who will require educating and encouraging to help them understand the benefits of installations such as heat pumps. These changes will be costly for the country but the financial and environmental gain long term will be great.
