Our staff are using various technology platforms to communicate with one another, assist with collaborative working and help keep morale high. Employees are having daily catch ups, sharing team quizzes and even personalising backgrounds on video conferencing platform, Zoom in order to improve the mood and stay light hearted in this difficult situation that we are currently facing.

A recent study has confirmed that electric vehicles produce less carbon dioxide than petrol cars across the globe. The findings, reported by The Guardian are contrary to the claims from detractors who believe the manufacturing process of batteries and production of electricity outweigh the benefits of the electric vehicle. We're happy to announce that we recently completed PIT testing for our suppliers within the Ofgem switching programme. Our Halo CSS adapter works with our market transaction management SaaS suite AFMS to prepare our suppliers within the programme and completing this stage puts us in a strong position as we enter the next phase of development. 30 employees at Utiligroup bravely signed up to Spin for Smart Works on 28th February and 10 days later, on International Women's Day had collectively cycled over 3840 miles and raised a whopping £4,000 for Smart Works! All 6 teams reached the 500 mile target but it was 'Winstanley's Wheels' that triumphed first. We are very proud to support Smart Works as they continue to empower under privileged women across the UK by providing them with interview coaching and clothes.

Friday 6th March 2020We’ve installed EV Chargers
We're proud to be one of the first companies in Lancashire to install free-to-use Electric Vehicle charge points for our staff. These podpoint chargers are capable of delivering 7kW - and we've installed four charge points across our two Chorley offices. This allows our BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) and PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) drivers to charge their vehicles for free whilst at their desks!

On Friday 28 February we issued the latest edition of UtiliSwitch which provides an update on the latest progress of Ofgem’s Switching Programme. We are also delighted to confirm that we have submitted all of our relevant test evidence to the Systems Integrator, Netcompany and have received formal sign off on Pre Integration Testing.

The Data Communications Company (DCC) has confirmed the installation of the four millionth second-generation smart meter (SMETS2). The pace of the SMETS2 rollout is continuing to increase, according to the DCC there is a 13 fold increase in speed compared to 2019.
