GM and PG&E to test how EVs can power homes during blackouts

Ford has made the concept of EV’s being used for backup power during blackouts, as a key selling point of it’s F-150 Lightning battery-powered pickup truck. The ‘vehicle-to-grid’ technology is being heavily promoted by car manufacturers, EV charging producers and energy services companies. However, there is still a lot of work to be done in terms of regulations and technology, to make this a mass market reality. Read more here.
